Vintage Woodwork’s Yahoo! Store was recently “found” by the producers of Extreme Makeover, who asked if the owners would take part in a special Walker Family episode.

Extreme Makeover is a popular American T.V. show that covers teams of custom home builders lending a hand to needy families to Richie-Richify (with only days to work) once dingy and emotionally darkened spaces.

Extreme Makeover aired The Walker Family segment on ABC last Friday (12/2/2011). The Walker family, who has endured a tragic child suicide (and who are now outspoken and well-known advocates of anti-bullying efforts) received a home upgrade to help lift their spirits.

Vintagewoodworks.com’s team of tender-hearted Americans hand-prepared enough Millwork Trim porch products to outfit the Walker’s neo Victorian-Style home in Springfield, Massachusetts. Photos of all the steps Vintagewoodworks.com took to get the product out the door can be seen here.

FastPivot’s Yahoo! Store developers were delighted to read this message from Vintagewoodworks.com last Friday:

Ellen Fowler posted a new message:

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Grant, Adria, & all of FastPivot…

Thanks to the great website y’all help us create & maintain, we were sought & found by “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” to help design the front porch of their next project. The Walker family porch features our products, and the episode airs TONIGHT on ABC at 8/7c (2 hr episode). We’re quite excited to have been a part of such a great cause, and we just wanted to let you know & thank you for all you do on our site!

Happy Holidays!
Ellen & all the Folks at Vintage Woodworks

We’re so glad our custom-built Yahoo! Store is doing just what it is supposed to do out there, and that along with all the right customers showing up, Extreme Makeover’s miracle agents know where to go when it comes to re-building America, one family at a time.
