How the Quick Look Feature for Yahoo! Stores reduces cart abandonment

Our Yahoo! Store developers have learned over the years that customers want efficient navigation pathways. In other quick lookwords, ecommerce customers want to be able to be able to easily find and purchase the product for which they are looking. To make this process more efficient, our Yahoo! Store developers are installing Quick Look “short cut,” which should ultimately reduce cart abandonment.

How does it work?

Our recent install of the Quick Look feature can be viewed by mousing over any product icon on any section page at Novelgiftbaskets.com, and then by clicking the Quick Look bar. As you can see, customers using the Quick Look feature can view a choice of options (item #, mini-product image, sale price, quantity, brief product description, add-to-cart button, & an option to go to the full product page description) about a particular product while still on the section page.

The Quick Look feature is especially useful for Yahoo! Store merchants as it:

1) presents content while keeping pages clean and organized.

2) Creates a higher level of engagement for the customer.

3) Supports easy navigation to the point of purchase process, which helps increases sales

4) Decreases customer frustration and distration, which both contribute to cart abandonment
