FastPivot’s Director of Social Media Communications, Jonathan Poston, was honored to serve as a “Key Speaker” at Ecuador’s Ministry for Coordination of Production, Employment and Competitiveness’s tenth InnovaEcuador Innovation Forum in Quito, Ecuador.¬† This Government of Ecuador hosted¬† conference was organized by RoadMak; A sincere thanks to everyone on the RoadMak team: Steven Wille, Julio Prado, Sole Larrea, and Carla Villena, for organizing this conference.

Hundreds of business professionals, university students, government officials, and members of the general population crowded the conference auditorium in Quito, Ecuador on November 11, 2010. FastPivot photographer, Aldo Dager, flew in from Guayaquil, Ecuador to photograph the event.

During this Quito, Ecuador technology innovation conference, FastPivot’s Jonathan Poston addressed the following:

  • A brief timeline analysis of world internet commerce and current internet commerce trends, growth, challenges and opportunities in Ecuador-Latin America.
  • Case examples of successful ecommerce-mcommerce-social media profit models relevant to the Ecuador business environment.
  • International (Ecuador-focused) internet commerce strategies and standards addressing branding & consumer trust, SEO, traffic/conversion improvement, payment systems, social media marketing, ecommerce-mcommerce platforms & hosting, online tools for bricks-and-mortar expansion etc.
  • Using ecommerce-mcommerce-social media as an innovative tool for business growth in Ecuador.

As noted on Ecuador’s Gov’t website, other key conference speakers included: Julio Prado, Juan Carlos Solines Moreno, and Nelson Baldeon.

As usual, the Innovation Forum began with a description of the technology services sector by Julio Prado. Nelson subsequently Baldeón the One Laptop Per Child introduced the projections and achievements of this initiative. Then, Juan Carlos Solines, the Associate Legal Solines addressed the topic of Digital Government as a new trend (Quote translation via Google)

      P.S. Only photos available for this conference at this point…most of the conference was in Spanish, but with expert translators and specialized accompanying headsets for audience on site, my presentation in English wasn’t an issue at all.
