FastPivot’s Director of Social Media, Jonathan Poston, just returned from the New College Institute in Martinsville, Virginia, where he presented on “Marketing & Social Media for Non-profits” on behalf of the Duke University Non-Profit Management Program for the Harvest Foundation.
The workshop took place June 21, 2011 from 9am-2pm. Nearly 30 attendees participated in exercises and instruction to enhance their knowledge of using social media for marketing and fundraising campaigns. Topics of more intense discussion revolved around the most useful social media platforms, effective social media strategies, setting social media policy, and social media goal planning.
This is the second Duke University Non-Profit Management Certification “Social Media” workshop FastPivot / Jonathan Poston has led (a summary of the last one can be found here). We look forward to continuing working with Duke University’s Non-Profit Management Certification Program.
