Internet Retailer’s Mobile Commerce Conference debuted in Chicago IL this past Oct.12-13, 2010.
The mobile commerce conference tore through the two days in Chicago like a tornado: Hundreds of attendees from all over the world whirled in to catch the latest on mobile commerce trends and insights from both m-commerce exhibitors and expert m-commerce speakers.
With only two days to collect a mass of m-intel, it was an full-out scramble all the way until the curtains dropped.
29 mobile commerce expert speakers addressed some of the most pressing questions on the minds of both mobile commerce merchants and would-be mobile commerce merchants. The keynote speaker was Will Pinnell, Director of Mobile Strategy for Travelocity/Sabre Holdings. Other top expert mobile commerce speakers included Jessica Yo, VP of Product Development for Fandango and Movies.com, Tim McCauley, Mobile Commerce Director, Walgreen Co., and Todd Cabell, Senior Manager of Web Strategy at Crutchfield.com.
While mobile commerce stats. indicated a strong growth trend for 2010, it was apparent that the buildup has just begun. Ecommerce merchants serious about seeing mobile traffic convert are already in the development stages of creating mobile friendly webstores to complement regular ecommerce sites.
