FastPivotSoftware Introduces “Constant Cart” to it’s App Line-up |
Research has shown that a shopping cart summary on a store’s pages helps increase conversions. Also known as the “floating shopping cart,” this is capable with some integration into a Yahoo! Store. FastPivotSoftware is proud to introduce the FastPivot ConstantCart to the growing family of apps that enhance the user interface.
Our standard version is actually an “anchored” shopping cart area that is visible on all of your store’s pages (which is why ours is call Constant Cart). Constant Cart bypasses the shopping cart landing page that appears by default in Yahoo! Stores every time a customer purchases an item. The customer can also view the full mini cart on command, as well as make purchase adjustments and check out. When a product is added, the full mini cart briefly appears on the screen to confirm the addition.
Because it’s part of FastPivotSoftware, we will stand behind this app no matter how your Yahoo! Store or it’s Cart coding changes. In addition, ongoing product upgrades and enhancements are part of your monthly fees. Personalization is included in the installation fee and allows you to choose size, colors, fonts and more.
Options include (for an additional fee)
- Non-anchored Cart, that floats up
and down the page as the customer navigates
- Customized messaging that calculates and alerts customers of free shipping
or other price/item based incentives
- Ability for customer to bypass the default cart full-size page after an
item is added to cart
Installation:$495, plus $10/month fee.
Please contact us for more information or to add this to your store.

Yahoo! Script Changes:
PHP Based Apps in Yahoo!
Hosting Effected?
|
Yahoo! has recently announced a change to their PHP hosting environment. To improve security for both merchants and buyers, we will be disabling the following PHP options, beginning October 1:
- register_globals
- allow_url_fopen and its corollary
- allow_url_include
Should this concern you?
Most stores will not be affected by this change if they are using the Merchant Solutions Store Editor as the engine which generates store pages. Stores that have been built in Merchant Solutions Web Hosting could need to make adjustments to their php scripts.
If your store was built by FastPivot, it uses the Store Editor as the store page engine. Your store itself will NOT be affected by this change. However, if FastPivot built any custom php scripts for your store, they may be affected by this change. Read More
