Why
SEO and PPC NOW? Five things
to think about…TODAY.
If
only improving SEO was something you could just make
happen. If only successful PPC was just about spending
more. Truth is, SEO and PPC activity are disciplines
that need your constant attention.
Three things to consider when taking on SEO
Keywords.
Is your list current? When was the last time
you checked your analytics and reviewed real customer
site search entries? Do you know how customers are
searching for you on Google, Yahoo!, and MSN? Building
and monitoring this list is a real-time, ongoing job.
Copy.
Where is it? Do you make space for crawlable
text on every page? Are your graphics hiding important
terms that spiders can’t see?
Content. Change
is a good thing. Every time you change things up on
your site, spiders have a new reason to crawl. Blogs,
reviews, new products, new copy…all of these
things add up over time.
Two things to consider when taking on PPC
Invest smart, not more.
If money was no object, you still won’t see
the best results by buying every term in sight. The
trick is to understand which terms are used by people
ready to buy, not people just out to browse. And yes,
there are ways to get this info without paying first…
It’s not just
for Christmas. EVERY merchant is playing
the PPC game in October, November, and December. The
trick is getting traction NOW…before the playing
field gets cluttered. If you want to own a term or
adword…the time is NOW, not mid-October to build
around it.
