Yahoo! Store merchants typically swarm when there’s a Yahoo! Store Summit. The main reason for the frenzy is that these conferences always prove to be a worthwhile opportunity for Yahoo! Store merchants to learn more about the newest Yahoo! Store updates & custom features. Yahoo’s official presenters and attending Yahoo! Store developers go out of their way to help Yahoo! Store merchants learn how to make their Yahoo! Stores more successful.
FastPivot’s President, Matthew Ledford and Vice President, Keith Enloe, made a special flight to Santa Clara, California to participate in the September 13-14, 2010 Yahoo! Merchant Summit.
Both Ledford and Enloe generally stay extremely busy running FastPivot LLC from the home-office in Asheville NC, but opportunities like this are hard to pass up. Why? Because Yahoo! Store developer partners, like FastPivot, get to meet personally with so many Yahoo! Store merchants, which is often the perfect opening for a reunion with, or even a first time face to face meeting with, a long-time Yahoo! Store client (*online store developers often do their work exclusively in a virtual space).

Besides shaking hands with a conference hall full of Yahoo! Store merchant friends, Ledford, was also welcomed on-stage as an industry expert on social media. As he has done at dozens of other ecommerce conferences before, including a Duke University workshop just last week, Ledford made the case once again that social media is rapidly unifying the world’s population in a way our ancestors could have never before imagined. Non-profits, politicians, shopping malls, universities—they’re all on social media, because it’s where the masses are congregating.
Off-stage, Ledford was also busy directing a FastPivot sponsored giveaway. The winner of the grand prize, a 42 inch Sanyo HD Plasma., was Maureen Kendall, Founder & CEO, LittleRuler.com
Stoked to win the 42 Sanyo HD Plasma! I enjoyed speaking with Keith Enloe from Fast Pivot and the great recommendations he made for our site. I look forward to implementing the mobile functionality for our site as well as establishing a blog. I found the Yahoo! Merchant Summit really useful and a great way to connect with vendors…especially Fast Pivot! Many Thanks!
Overall, the Yahoo! Merchant Summit was a win for everyone!

I spoke to both Matt and Keith to get their thoughts on mobile ecommerce. I’m an early adopter of the Fast Pivot mobile solution and wanted to pick their brains on future enhancements and the general feeling of the ability of future customers to do business via a phone. Both guys were super nice and approachable while not shying away from providing honest answers to my somewhat persistent questions. Thanks Fast Pivot, you helped make the Yahoo Summit a great time.
