FastPivot.com , along with other Asheville NC based organizations including; Foot Rx, Liberty Bikes, Carolina Fatz, Sycamore Cycles, Jus’ Running, Asheville Tri Club, Biowheels, Hearns Cycling, Industry 9, Ultimate Direction, Chi Living, Have a Cup of Coffee, Highland Lake Inn, The Rush, Asheville Women’s Cycling, Blue Ridge Cross Fit, Andy Grabowski, CTS, GloryHoundEvents, Ski Country etc., are rallying support for an upcoming silent auction to benefit Brad Smith, a local triathlete who was badly hurt in a recent cycling accident. He is at this time unable to feel his legs. Proceeds taken in from the auction will help his family with the expense of medical equipment and other bills.

Smith’s friends have organized a Facebook sign up page for the upcoming July 10th, 2010 event which will be held at Fletcher Community Park from 5-8pm under the pavilion.

This is a potluck event so bring a dish to share. Concert starts at 6:30 with music by The Galen Kipar Project. If you are unable to attend the silent auction but still want to help visit helpbradandcarrie.com to make a donation.

According to Daphne Kirkwood, who is one of the event coordinators and the FastPivot.com Director of Human Resources:

“Some super cool donated items have already come in for the upcoming silent auction to benefit Brad Smith — Bike tune ups, gift certificates galore, custom fitted orthotics, I-9 wheels, BIKES!, camping equipment, gym memberships, club memberships, local triathlon race entries, eBiz Consultations and much much more! Thank you to everyone in the community that is coming together to make this event a huge success to help Brad! “

Along with Kirkwood, FastPivot’s President, Matthew Ledford, is also very active in the effort to promote and support this benefit.¬† Both Ledford and Kirkwood are competitive triathletes who are extremely involved in making the Asheville N.C. area a safer place to Run, Bike, and Swim!

Thank you to everyone who is able to take the time to pitch in to help!
